MY INSTAGRAM has been a big part of my life for a while now and it can be a source of inspiration for many creatives. I often save ideas that can help me put mood boards for shoots together and this is great for both myself and the couple I’m photographing – everyone’s a winner! I had wanted to shoot motorcycle-themed COUPLE PHOTOS for a very long time!

SOCIAL MEDIA INSPIRATION

I’ve been really inspired by some American and Spanish photographers who involved open roads and vehicles that focus on the connection between two people. I’d had an idea for a shoot for a while before I found the perfect pair to try it with.

Sam and Maddi are a great-looking couple and I’ve been friends with Sam for a while. Maddi loves nature and being outdoors and Sam loves his motorbike (and Maddi too of course)! When Sam approached me for some shots of them together, I showed him my mood board and we realized we could have a great shoot and incorporate his two loves!

LIGHTS, BANDANAS, ACTION!

We set off for one of my favourite places – the Quantock Hills in Somerset early one evening. Timing it an hour before sundown for the best light. The hills were lit with the sunset, the outfits were folky but edgy and it all fell into place nicely. Sam’s motorbike was an awesome prop. I had my eye on his motor for a while now. I loved this shoot and will be pursuing more like it. All little planning, but not too much goes a long way.
