Since I started shooting wedding photography I have only had a few chances to end up on a beach. Jasmine & James from Cornwall contacted me as they liked my style and I could not have been more excited. After reading the email explaining the venue BEDRUTHAN SPA & HOTEL was a minute drive from the sea, I knew this was going to be a good day! Initially, the wedding was delayed because of the ‘you know what’ so this day was anticipated even more. On arrival, I couldn’t get over how big the venue was. Well-lit rooms with soft pastel colors throughout. The ceremony held next to a large balcony area for guests to mingle afterward was perfect.

After the wedding ceremony, the time had come to head to the beach. It was an Octobers day, so the sun was going to drop early, we had to make the most of the light that was available. A short drive down the beach we had arrived at the part I wouldn’t shut up about. The air was warm, the wind was low and it all fell into place for us. After striking the gold, we headed back up for the speeches and party. One thing I have started doing with my wedding photography is adding a ‘club-style look’ to party photos, I find without this it can look like a room of musical statues, boring! The beauty of these types of shots is they are pot luck and the outcomes can be awesome.
