Family beach photoshoot, Cornwall
On a recent trip away to Cornwall in my camper van, I met up with a good friend of mine Simon, with who I was in the Army. I was in Sennen which isn’t far from the land’s end & the beaches are stunning. West facing with clean white sand I took the opportunity to give him, his wife, and daughter some photos with a family beach photoshoot.
Armed with a Nikon camera and just a 35mm lens we walked and got some photos of them on their family trip. For me this was super nice, as I hadn’t seen Simon for 6 years, so to catch up with him in this way was perfect. Photography is a skill I have picked up since I left forces, so to be able to do this was personal for me. Sennen beach I had never visited before, but I sure will be again. It’s a playground for surfer photography also. I’m envious of any photographer who lives here.
While the sun was setting, a very thin layer of cloud for a moment rolled in, or Cornish mist. It diffused the light and the beach became a studio. This really helped the colors pop and gave me all angles to work with. Ada his daughter at first was wondering what I was doing, when she clocked on it was a photoshoot she started pulling faces and poses. This shoot was meant to be. To this day, this is one of my best sets yets for a family photoshoot.
As well as wedding and couples photography I do enjoy and am offering small family photoshoots just like this. If you are looking for a set of images like this in a beautiful location, please DROP ME A MESSAGE and we can start the planning. Simon and Laura received their photos in a private and sharable online gallery, sized in full resolution for printing.
