Newborn and family photography is something else I can offer as well as wedding photography. In fact, I really enjoy these. This is the third for me in 2022, and what a fantastic shoot it turned out to be. I have known LUCY DAVIES MUA for a little while now, this is the 3rd set of images I have produced for her. We met on the wedding circuit a few years back. Lucy & James have had two small children, and this is where I was asked if I can get some photos.

Now, this shoot went really well, the weather, the location and it was fully styled by Lucy herself. I didn’t have to give any tips for clothing as Lucy knew what was going to be worn well in advance. It really paid off. I always give tips on what can look great for a photoshoot, but here I was way outdone. Exmouth beach on that evening was calm, with low wind and the sun was popping. Lucy and James were kept busy with their children while I was free to just shoot. For me, newborn photography is always on location, as I don’t have a studio. Even if I did have a studio, id probs say let’s head outside.

This set was taken with my Nikon d700 and Z6, 35mm & 85mm. At all times I tried to shoot where there were no people in the back, as this creates more work when editing. Also if people can be seen in the back it just changed the whole vibe of the set of photos. My favourite part of this shoot was the smoke bombs Lucy planned.
