Wedding Proposal Photographer
Jess had been planning to propose to TT for a little while now, and she knew she wanted a photographer to capture this moment. I never thought years back being a wedding proposal photographer would be a thing! They may not be for all, but they are proving popular with couples. I was contacted by Jess via my WEDDING INSTAGRAM, we then immediately started the planning.
Over the last 12 months, I have photographed six surprise proposals, and most of them on the coast JUST LIKE EMILY & DREW’S PROPOSAL. To shoot one in a Lavender Farm was something new. Originally the planned location was to be a treehouse BnB, where they were staying for the weekend, but we couldn’t quite make it work. Me randomly being there was the tricky part. We came to the decision, or Jess did, that Somerset Lavendar Farm would be a great location.
As usual, I played my role of being a photographer who happened to already be there. Jess & TT wandered into the field and it was moments away. After TT saying yes we took some photos and captured their buzz. The field itself was muddy, none of us planned the correct footwear for this, so we made use of a nearby long grass meadow. This was perfect for finishing the set. I finally made use of my 200m lens to help get some compression in the long grass. This lens created a nice flare when shooting towards the light.
